Senior Grand Master
Joe Calhoun
Biography
- Senior Grand Master Joe Calhoun started his martial arts training in 1977.
- He is a college graduate from the University of South Alabama.
- A former patrol sergeant for the city of Gulfport and a graduate of the Harrison County Law Enforcement Academy/Platoon Leader of class 91-1.
- Holds the rank of 9th Degree Black Belt in Tiger Rock, 3rd Black Belt in Weeping Style JuJutsu, and a Brown Belt in BJJ.
- SGM Calhoun came to Gulfport in 1984 to manage and then purchased Tiger Rock Martial Arts of Gulfport in 1986.

We were evacuated for Hurricane Ida and were welcomed into Sr. Grand Master Calhoun's Tiger Rock unhesitatingly. My kiddo was so excited to train under someone who is so highly ranked. She beamed heading in and on the way out. She said it made her miss her regular location a bit less. Can't thank them enough for being so welcoming.
